Rich Egger’s guest on this week’s Emphasis program is Gary Ziegler, Transit Director for McDonough County Public Transportation. They provide an audio tour of the new Macomb/McDonough County Transit Facility along East Pierce Street in Macomb.

The agency is renovating the former Porcelain Products Company factory into a storage and maintenance garage. The building will also house offices for dispatchers and administrators.

Ziegler said the final price tag is expected to be $11.2 million - $11.3 million.

This week’s guest is Jerry Parks, who is the chairman of the Burlington Renewable Energy Committee.  He and Public Radio’s Jason Parrott discuss the work of the committee and some long-term projects.

Jason Parrott’s guest for this week’s program was Don Traman of Burlington.  Traman is the new Chairman of the volunteer organization, Friends of the Burlington Depot.

For this week’s program, Rich Egger spoke with Dr Eric Grimm of the Illinois State Museum. They talked after Grimm gave the presentation “The Science of Climate Change” as part of the Second Sunday Science Series at Dickson Mounds Museum.
