A controversial decision by the Lee County Board of Supervisors seems to have boosted interest in a property tax auction held in Fort Madison.

The debate over whether to hold a property tax auction in Lee County has moved several other contentious issues back into the spotlight.

A recent vote by the Lee County Board of Supervisors has turned out to be anything but routine.

There are over 100 items up for bid, including art and handcrafted pieces, sports-related clothing and collectibles, gift certificates, event tickets and more.

All proceeds go toward the costs of broadcasting quality audio programming for the visually impaired in the Tri-states area. Online auction winners can pick up their items from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday, Nov. 12 -Friday, Nov. 16, or by appointment. Bidders outside of Macomb but within the AIS listening area may have items delivered at no cost. Shipment of items outside the listening area can be arranged as well.
