An Illinois congressman say more hearings will come over the IRS’s target of conservative groups that applied for tax exempt status.

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn applied to have 11 counties declared federal disaster areas because of recent flooding.

As a result of heavy rains and flooding, much of west-central Illinois has been declared a state disaster area and a federal disaster declaration could follow.

A congressional investigation group is recommending the US House Ethics Committee further review an alleged fundraising violation involving Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL).  

A report from the Office of Congressional Ethics said Schock allegedly sought a $25,000 donation to help fellow Representative Adam Kinzinger in a primary election.  

The report said Schock’s request was five times more than what Super PACs are allowed to raise.
