Fort Madison Increases Fees

Fort Madison, IA – Aldermen authorized the city to enter into a service contract with architects who will design the new Fort Madison public library. City Manager Bill Kelly says this will allow the architects to move forward with the design phase. Voters this week gave the city permission to borrow up to $1.4 million to renovate the old Valley Clinic building. The borrowing will take place during the coming year. Gaming income will be used to pay off part of the loan.
