County Will Continue Payroll Prep

Macomb, IL – The McDonough County Clerk will continue preparing the county's payroll after all. The county board's finance committee had been upset with errors in preparing the payroll. They were also concerned about what they saw as a lack of confidentiality regarding raises or pay levels. County Clerk Florine Miller says a seminar she attended showed her outsourcing the payroll wold cause more problems than have been experienced so far. The Finance Committee will recommended to the full board that the clerk's office continue to run the county's payroll.
