Changes Possible For Lee County Workforce

Fort Madison, IA – The Board of Supervisors' proposal is expected to be formally voted on next week. The first step is a 3% wage increase for all non-union workers, which is similar to what union workers will receive. The savings come into play by cutting the work-week for union workers by an hour, as well as requiring non-union workers to pay part of their insurance premiums. The non-union workers would pay $25 each month towards a single insurance policy, and $50 for a family plan.
