Following the Spring '09 Membership Drive, 500 native hardwood trees
were planted at Argyle Lake State Park in Colchester. This planting was made possible by the generous pledges of our members, and was completed by Barrie McVey of the Illinois Tree Farm Committee. When the trees were planted they were little more that sticks being put in the ground... Now a little more than 6 months later, the site still looks a little bare, but the growth has begun.
